We are currently contributing our time and funding our initial trips, because we believe in the importance of providing support to the teenagers of Jeremie.
Because we are limited in what we can do at this stage, we welcome any small contributions, whether it is an old computer or $5. Mostly we would like to know that other people believe in this work and in the future of these young people too. Thank you so much for visiting our site, and please write to us!

Where the money will go:
- Salaries for the student leaders: they will receive a salary for time spent creating lesson plans with us and for teaching the group. This will be their first formal employment, and will help to stabilize them. These young people live in precarious households and their daily survival is a challenge. (
- A meal that the students eat together at their meetings. The teenagers travel hours from other villages and often don't have money to eat. They are all on HIV treatment, which is a combination of three drugs that may cause nausea without food.
- Solar lights for the teenagers to sell as a small business enterprise. We will purchase kits of solar lightbulbs and lamps that the group will then use to create their own business. Most of the students come from homes without electricity, and this business is an excellent opportunity for them to earn income while benefiting their community.
